Stefanie Hellweg has been professor for Ecological Systems Design at the Institute of Environmental Engineering in the Department Civil, Environmental, and Geomatic Engineering since 2006.
She was born in Essen (Germany) in 1971 and studied industrial engineering at Karlsruhe University. After graduating in 1996, she worked as a management consultant on projects in the field of waste management and energy production. From 1997 to 2000 she completed her Ph.D. on the environmental assessment of thermal waste treatment processes at ETH Zurich.
