In the context of continuous antigen stimulation, such as cancer and chronic viral infections, CD8 T cells adopt an attenuated state known as "CD8 T cell Exhaustion". I am interested in finding out how the fate of CD8 T cells is regulated during this process. In order to do so I analyse CD8 T cell differentiation during chronic LCMV infection both in vitro and in vivo using CRISPR/Cas-9 mediated gene disruption, single-cell RNA sequencing and flow cytometry.
