Research Field

My research is focused on applying circuit theory to power system modeling and operation. Modeling the grid as an equivalent electric circuit enables decades of research in the circuit community to be applied to power flow problems. I investigate how different aspects of power system analysis, such as state estimation, can be redefined using this novel approach. The goal is to achieve superior accuracy, robustness and numerical efficiency compared to the conventional algorithms used in power systems area.
