Benedikt Knüsel

Benedikt Knüsel has been the Head of Science-Policy Interface in the Office of Knowledge Transfer and Corporate Relations at ETH Zurich since September 2022. 

Before that, he was a Scientific Advisor at the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation. In this role, he was responsible for the promotion of research establishments of national importance, the Swiss participation in European research infrastructure networks, and further specific research promotion initiatives of the Federal Government. 

From 2017 until 2020, he was a doctoral student at the Institute for Environmental Decisions (Prof. Dr. David Bresch, Dr. Christoph Baumberger) and the Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science (Prof. Dr. Reto Knutti) at ETH Zürich. In his dissertation, he investigated philosophical issues in data-driven modeling in climate research.
