Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Deepshi is an architect with expertise in sustainable design at both architecture and urban scale. Her practice experience spans a decade with projects of diverse typologies with both the public and private sector. Her extensive experience includes distinguished award-winning evidence-based interdisciplinary design projects which ranges from the micro-scale of operational zero carbon homes, proof-of-concept modular construction to the macro-scale of sustainable communities and smart cities.

She has received her Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Vastu Kala Academy, India in the year 2008. After that, she had gained practice experience on mega-projects in India before commencing her Master's Degree in Science - Integrated Sustainable Design (MSc ISD) from the National University of Singapore, Singapore in the year 2012.

She has disseminated her extensive practice experience to the built environment industry and academia in the form of lectures, workshops, conferences and publications. She has contributed regularly to the Master's program at the National University of Singapore and has been a guest critic at studio presentations. She is also the editor of the publication 'SG3 Decoding Sustainable Urbanism | Case Study, Singapore ', the book is a showcase of process-based design approach towards sustainable urbanism. She also developed the Master's program 'Master of Planning and Urban Design Majoring in Disaster Resilience and Sustainable Tropical Urbanism' at the James Cook University Australia and Singapore.

Since November 2019, she joined the Chair of Sustainable Construction as a Senior Researcher involved in the Research Stream 3A: Fostering Implementation: Sustainability, Performance and Applicability at the NCCR and early design integration of sustainability through parametric design.
